Talisman Lives!!!

redhandedjack
I used to play talisman 2nd ed. with my family. (we had a copy at our house and both my uncles houses!)
I have no idea what happened to that copy but I have a sinking feeling that my sister threw it away. Anyways, my boyfriend got me 4th ed for valentines day and I want to paint my own little peoples for it. Does anyone have any suggestions for people?

Note to self: need to pick up a glut of bone dice and character stands for PAX.

Any opinions or comments on how many players we should have on the board at one time?

I'm all for 2-3am madness on one of the nights!

Progress so far!

Well, good news! We haven't been contacted by Games Workshop's Callidus Division of Intellectual Property and the Vindicare spokes people.

We have everything scanned in!

Talisman 2nd Ed. main set.
Talisman Adventure
Talisman City
Talisman Dungeon
Talisman Expansion
and
two Games Workshop White Dwarf versions of some additional cards!

I've inspected the work myself and I'll be damned but the counter chip look bloody original.

We're making some modifications so that the two, YES I SAID TWO, sets will be able to endure the geek ritual. IE: making it soda spill proof, grubby finger oil resistant and be able to adequately shed the tears of human defeat.

All of the fees have been paid for and everything is good to go.

Thank You so far everyone that has helped! Your names are not being mention for legal reasons. Because you didn't do anything. It's all my fault.

Sooo! For those of you that aren't joining mid-community or have read my LJ on a semi-regular basis. We are bringing this gig to the Penny Arcade Expo! Here's the email:

Talisman?! Man, that game rocks. You are more than welcome to bring the
game and run a tournament. The RPG area will have some space dedicated to
PAX-run events and some space open for pickup games. So, just bring the game,
announce you're running a big ass game of Talisman, grab some players
and claim a table. Away you go.

The room manager will have some tournament tickets for impromptu events
just like this, so you may even be able to give away prizes. Just talk to
the room manager and she'll let you know the score.

Thanks for bringing the game! That so kicks ass.
